Last Week of School! :) May 25-29

Hello Parents and Students,

I can’t believe that summer is just 4 school days away! Thank you so much for a great year, these kids have been awesome and I wish them the best of luck in 7th grade!
As you have probably heard I will be moving at the end of the school year. I have accepted a job at Trent Middle School in Frisco, Texas. I will miss all these kids very much, I have enjoyed the past 3 years at White Oak, it is such a great school and community! I am very blessed to be a part of it. Thank you so much for all of you support this year! 🙂

Objective: Students received a list of vocabulary words to study
Study for Final
Topics:Potential and Kinetic Energy, Thermal energy Transfer, force and motion, solar system, Earth

Monday: No School

Tuesday/Wednesday
Review for Final- bring compbook and vocab

Thursday/Friday – Half days(11:30)
EXAMS (Study everything from the PE and KE roller coaster back in your compbook)
4th/5th on Thursday
2nd/3rd on Friday

Hello Parents and Students,

We are just about done with energy resources. We will be having our debate in the think lab on Tuesday and Wednesday, then have a quick open note test on Thursday/Friday.

I will be gone at the UIL meet on Friday

Objective: 6.7
Students research and debate the advantages and disadvantages of using specified energy resources. Students then design a logical plan to manage energy resources in the home, school, or community based on the research they have done.

Monday: No School MLK Day

Hello Parents and Students,

We made it through the first week back and we finished our projects, WHEW!! 🙂

This week we are finishing our energy resources research to prepare for our debate. We also have to take our universal screener this week.

Objective:
Students research and debate the advantages and disadvantages of using specified energy resources. Students then design a logical plan to manage energy resources in the home, school, or community based on the research they have done.

Monday:
Energy Resource Research
-Student will become an expert on assigned resource. Student will debate why his or her resource is the way to go.

Welcome Back! Week 17

Hello Parents,

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years!

I am so excited for this semester, we have so many cool new things to learn! But first we have to get those projects done from last semester. We will then be jumping into energy resources.

Objective:
